Dogs and Boats and Airplanes Choir, Regular Edition (Vinyl)

The Dogs and Boats and Airplanes Choir is an exquisite 33RPM Vinyl LP centrepiecing the choristers of Howard Park and Lord Lansdowne Junior Public Schools in Toronto. The repertory was developed by thirty-two 8 to 12 year old choristers in 2011 in collaboration with Bill Burns (artistic director) and Alan Gasser (choral director). The record features the voices of children making the sounds of dogs, boats and airplanes. No words are used.

Side A is conceived as incidental music for Mr. Burns’ new book, Dogs and Boats and Airplanes Told in the Form of Ivan the Terrible. Side B features the children voicing the sounds of dogs lapping milk, a tug passing in the fog, the dog kennel, the cockpit, the creaking ship and more.
