Miasma

Miasma is a zine that utilizes performance art to reflect on intimacy and safety. During the first February lockdown for Covid-19, I had people wash the hands of their partners. They then wrote reflections on the desire, memories, fears that arose. I took those reflections and cut lines to make them into poetry. I wrote a performance to be completed when the pandemic is over, and a reflection on how science and mythmaking create and interfere with keeping ourselves safe from disease.
