The Fundamental Things

The Fundamental Things is a photobook tracing a personal story of migration against the backdrop of the Southern European debt crisis between 2009 and 2018.

Through portraits, intimate domestic interiors, and landscapes, the book reflects on the experience of relocation and the shifting relationships between people, places, and memory. Moving between private spaces and wider landscapes, the photographs document encounters along the way while considering what is carried, left behind, and reinvented through migration. Like souvenirs from the future.


Independently published in Berlin in 2026, the book is released as a limited edition of 250 copies.
