Ressemblance

Ressemblance is a documentary project Jimena Passadore first started out in Germany back in 2013 and finished in Argentina in 2018. The main idea was to piece together a chronicle of the series of deep-rooted historical and cultural links that connect Europe and Latin America. This logbook gathers her travel pictures, photographs, postcards, media footage and the valuable statements of Argentine grant holders that were living in Germany in 2013 as well as my reencounter with them back in Argentina five years later.

Jimena Passadore deals with the crossroads between photography, writing and drawing. Through a series of ongoing publications and exhibitions she explores literary, political and personal narratives.
Majored in Graphic Design from the Universidad de Buenos Aires (UBA), she currently teaches Morphology alongside Professor Wainhaus. She hold a postgraduate degree from Kunsthochschule Berlin Weißensee, having won DAAD scholarships (2006-2013).
She currently runs Flanbé Editions, an independent publishing house, where she publishes her work and the work of other artists, designers and students. Her work has been exhibited in solo and group shows in Argentina and Germany.
