Product Description
38 full-page pencil drawings (of an “elastic-animal”) accompany a text, but they tell two parallel stories.
The protagonists: a girl who is always tired and keeps falling asleep, a boy who’s completely stuck to her and can’t stop kissing her, and a second boy who rides a bicycle. Fish and a vacuum cleaner play an important role in the story — just as in her previous book AMOR BARRICADE AMOR, where pigeons and plane tree leaves slip between the two main characters. Edith Azam gives great importance to these elements, playfully mocking the very subject of her own book.
She tries to get rid of all these little creatures but quickly realizes that she is nothing without them.
In this “double” book, humor and despair are the twin forces that sustain the inextricable human condition.
