123 Polaroids

123 Polaroids is a deep dive into the artist's extensive collection of Polaroid work. Intimate memories of his closest friends dating from the early 2000s in his hometown of Guangzhou to his travels across China, Tibet, South East Asia, Japan and Europe. Work that embraces love, nudity, portraiture, colorful landscapes all fashioned by the imperfections of cheap Polaroids. While seemingly ephemeral, the title "123" alludes to the artists difficulty in categorizing this work in terms of 1st, 2nd or 3rd choices in that each image speaks so succinctly about a memory, an intimate moment from a defining period in his life.
