The selection is carefully curated by Motto and IMA staff.\u00a0In collaboration with the IMA and separately, the bookstore will host talks, readings, book launches, and features projects and events organised by artists or other art professionals. The premises has been designed by Berlin based Studio Miessen.<\/p>\n<p>This collaborative initiative builds on the IMA\u2019s rich history of publishing catalogues, monographs, and academic writing, often in partnerships\u00a0with others. The IMA currently publish three to four books a year, as well as smaller exhibition-based publications and artists editions.<\/p>\n<p>The bookshop&#8217;s opening will accompany the opening of two new shows: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ima.org.au\/mierle-laderman-ukeles-maintenance-art-works-1969-1980\/\">Mierle Laderman Ukeles: Maintenance Art Works 1969\u20131980<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ima.org.au\/sarah-browne-hand-to-mouth\/\">Sarah Browne: Hand to Mouth<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Saturday 11th October, 17.00 &#8211; 22.00.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ima.org.au\/\">Institute of Modern Art<\/a><br \/>\nGround Floor,\u00a0Judith Wright Centre<br \/>\n420 Brunswick Street<br \/>\nFortitude Valley<br \/>\nBrisbane QLD 4006<br \/>\nAustralia<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Motto IMA opening. 11.10.2014.
