Chert, Raster &#038; Motto, @ Chert \/ Motto. 06.12.2013 &#8211; 15.02.2014<br \/>\nOpening reception: 05.12.2013 from 7pm<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEditionshow\u201d groups together Raster, Chert and Motto&#8217;s artists\u2019 editions, ephemera and smaller productions, which have come alive in recent years.<\/p>\n<p>Chert has been producing different editions and publications over the course of the past five years; ranging<br \/>\nfrom prints, collages and neons to small installations, objects and mixed media. These will be presented<br \/>\ntogether with our publications. The books are printed in many different ways, from photocopies or risograph,<br \/>\nto digital or offset. On occasion of this show, each of the artists represented by Chert gallery will present<br \/>\none or more editions, and a small table will be dedicated to the publications produced or coproduced by the<br \/>\ngallery so far.<\/p>\n<p>Raster gallery is one of the pioneers of the Polish art editions market. Raster\u2019s aim is to present<br \/>\ncontemporary art in a broader context, contributing to its understanding and paving a way for building<br \/>\nhome libraries and collections in Poland. For over ten years the gallery has cooperated with accomplished<br \/>\nartists from Poland and abroad, across generations such as Micha\u0142 Budny, Rafa\u0142 Bujnowski, Aneta<br \/>\nGrzeszykowska, Wilhelm Sasnal and Zbigniew Libera &#8211; whose works are now also available as limited<br \/>\nedition series.<\/p>\n<p>Raster will present editions by Oskar Dawicki, Aneta Grzeszykowska, Zbigniew Libera, Slavs and Tatars<br \/>\nand Karol Radziszewski. Special attention should be paid to the selection of Libera\u2019s editions, especially<br \/>\nThe Messenger Girl \u2013 a hand-crafted portfolio containing 12 duotone prints on cotton paper depicting<br \/>\nfictitious characters. Libera incorporated the figures and faces of twentieth century movie stars, inserting<br \/>\nthem into the scenery of the Warsaw Uprising as photomontages originally featured in the book What is the<br \/>\nMes sen ger Girl Doing.<\/p>\n<p>Motto will present a range of editions by Kasper Andreasen, Sara MacKillop, Jonathan Monk and Erik<br \/>\nSteinbrecher, which are among several produced for presentations at the bookshop, since the Berlin<br \/>\nlocation opened in late 2008.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/rastergallery.com\/\">http:\/\/rastergallery.com\/<\/a><br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.chert-berlin.com\/\">http:\/\/www.chert-berlin.com\/<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Editionshow.
