Pavel B\u00fcchler is an artist, lecturer and writer. He is committed to the catalytic nature of art – its potential to draw attention to the obvious and revealing it as
\nultimately strange. Notes from the bottom of a bag is released in conjunction of his exhibition Working Title (in collaboration with Evangelia Spiliopoulou) at Peep-Hole.
\nIn almost two years, this is the first time that the exhibition program and the contribution for the editiorial project overlap. It is not a coincidence, but a way to pay homage to an intellectual we think is one of the key figures on the art scene in Europe and around the world.
\nThe text is composed of a series of notes gathered and collected. As B\u00fcchler says at the beginning of the text, they \u201care unresolved, undeveloped, unrehearsed and unrevised. They are left that way so that the writing can continue.\u201d They are \u2018useless\u2019 notes that build a discussion around \u2018nothing\u2019 and (like art) acquire meaning by saying (doing) that which is meaningless in itself.<\/p>\n
