Lemaniana: Reflections on Other Scenes\u00a0is the catalogue of\u00a0a collective exhibition at the Centre d\u2019Art Contemporain Gen\u00e8ve celebrating the diversity of the contemporary artistic production in the L\u00e9man region.
\nThe exhibition is the result of\u00a0a call for projects, launched in autumn 2020,\u00a0based on an open conception of the territory, with the aim of bringing together artists of different background who are either temporarily or permanently linked to the cross-border region of the Lake L\u00e9man basin, irrespective of training or education.
\nRich in illustrations and texts, the catalogue\u00a0allows us to navigate through the universe of\u00a0nearly 60\u00a0artists, including artist duo and collectives,\u00a0bringing to light new connections and opening our gaze to fresh interpretations of the world \u2013 a world deeply shaken by recent events. Current news \u2013 whether we are talking about racism, divergent political powers, gender identity or the pandemic and its confinements \u2013\u00a0give the project a truly contemporary nature.<\/p>\n
