TUNICA presents an art of Individuals. We stand for the reality of the present.
Absolute: The new egos and the melodrama of modernity is the Exploitation of vulgarity, the Improvement of life…
TUNICA is created for this timeless fundamental Artist that exists in everybody.
Unconditional: Popular art does not mean the art of the poor people.
TUNICA is a cape of good hope.
Trust: We need the unconsciousness of humanity. Their animalistic stupidity and dreams, futurism, magic and life!
Staying power! Brave Comrades!
Long live TUNICA!

This book titled ‘The Cure’ is edited by the three curators Benjamin Jaubert, Sofie Van Loo and Stefaan Willems who programmed the year 2015 in Komplot. This book is the result of a collaboration in three chapters : ‘There Is No Cure’, ‘The Rape – Stiff Hip Gait – The Catwalk’ and ‘Passion and Romance’. This book is the affirmation of three subjectivities through their choices and thematics. The designers Uberknackig put together the contributions of artists, thinkers and poets invited by the curators in a kind of spiritual user guide like the one you find in the drawer of your hotel room to coach you through the night…

Bellissima: Italy and High Fashion 1945-1968 presents the complex and ever-changing story of Italian fashion through a contemporary lens. It is a symphonic account of the many creative components that continue to interact and shape the success and enormous appeal of the “Made in Italy” brand. This catalog showcases the amazing garments chosen for the exhibition and designed by creators such as Simonetta, Valentino, Roberto Capucci, Irene Galitzine, among many others: the spectacular dresses that illuminated ball rooms and theater galas, as well as cocktail dresses of restrained elegance or tantalizing embellishments inspired by fantasized designs or the leading postwar art movements – the Zero Group, Pop art and Op art.

This stencil font, which consists of 43 characters, including numerals and several punctuation marks, was inspired by the lettering on old Danish police cars. A 3D effect is achieved by incorporating drop shadows into the type design. Each character is approximately 6 cm tall, ideal for posters and sign painting, and can be transferred to a surface by using marker, pen, or spray paint.

Edition Bauhaus 48

Text: Claudia Perren, Werner Möller, Astrid Volpert

Oktober 2015.

Co-published mit der Stiftung Bauhaus Dessau

mit 97 schwarz/weiß-Abbildungen, fadengeheftete Broschur

The official catalogue of Shinro Ohtake’s exhibition held at Marugame Genichiro-Inokuma Museum of Contemporary Art, Kagawa, 2013.

As the title suggests, “NEWNEW” consisted of only new, recent and never-exhibited works by the artist, deliberately placed throughout the museum to make the most of its unique locational environment and architectural structure.
The exhibited works included installations such as “MON CHERI: A Self-Portrait as a Scrapped Shed,” his contribution to Documenta 13, in addition to large-scale sculptures, collages, oil paintings, oversize drawings and small Gouache paintings on paper.

The catalogue consists of separate sheets, leaflets and a DVD, tied together with a paper faster that is also detachable. Sorted according to their techniques or where they were exhibited, the works are reproduced either in the books or on the sheets. The DVD contains a video documentation of the exhibition from a visitor’s perspective, beginning from a front view of the museum to the deep end of its exhibition rooms.

Larger than A3 in size, each of the eight sheets documents a different large-scale installation by the artist. With the front side covered by a full-bleed photo showing a whole picture of the work, they could be hung on a wall as a poster, while the back side shows details of the work and informs of other related works along with their captions. The three leaflets are formatted in different sizes; two feature image-based works (oil paintings / collages and drawings) and the other contains texts and reference data.
